It's hard to believe we've known each other for more than 30 years.
I
remember the summer days in res at U of C when we both worked as
waitresses in the bar at the Crowchild Motor Inn :)

The image of you that is indelibly stamped in my mind is from a
photograph taken on January 9, 1993.
I was about to be married (that
afternoon) and you were about to become a Mom (a few weeks later).

Jane, whenever I think about you, I also think about Fireside Al and
The Story of the Little Match Girl (we both love the CBC), and Greece
(your favourite holiday destination).
I always remember too
that you have generously and graciously hosted several TGIFs when I’ve
come back to Calgary over the years – it’s fun to sit on your back deck
and catch up with the gang over too much wine and too much food.

Oh My. What a talented, articulate, renaissance woman you are.
You are so refined, artistic and poised. A woman who truly knows how to appreciate the finer things in life.
You are so, well… ladylike.

You have the patience of a saint and a quiet determination that I think
comes from all the trials and tribulations you have been through.
You are a "rock" in many people's lives, especially, I suspect, the
members of your family.
