What Have You Done Today To Make You Feel Proud?

Susan notes: when I first heard this song about 10 years ago, it thrilled, excited and inspired me. So many of the themes contained within the lyrics - overcoming fears, grabbing freedom, believing in possibility - resonate with the deepest parts of me to this day - maybe that's why it was chosen as a theme for the 2012 Olympics in London.

I also think it's a timely reminder (in whatever year) to do something significant every day - to do as Ghandi suggested and "be the change you want to see in the world."

is touched by the role Pia, my Mom's cat, plays in helping my Mom, who has dementia, continue to lead a joyful life. AND of course I'm also amazed to see how crazy Pia drinks tea from a mug - the paraphrase a tea advert from decades ago: "It's the paws that refreshes.
