One night I had a dream. I dreamed that I was walking along the sandy beach with God.
I am quite thankful that as we walked hand in hand, God showed me His infinite patience by not throwing me into the sea 'coz I must have asked Him "Are we there yet?" a million times.

Martin died in January 14, 2006. She and I never met in this life; perhaps we will in another. Her husband Franc Sloan generously agreed to share two letters he wrote to family and friends about her departure from this world (fittingly, on a big red horse).

Marianne Williamson (born July 8, 1952) is a spiritual activist, author, lecturer and founder of The Peace Alliance, a grass roots campaign supporting legislation currently before Congress to establish a United States Department of Peace.
She is also the founder of Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels program that serves homebound people with AIDS in the Los Angeles area.
