AfricAid

AfricAid is a nonprofit organization that supports girls¹ education in Africa in order to provide young women with the opportunity to transform their own lives and the futures of their communities.

AfricAid was started in 2001 by a 16-year-old girl who believed that nothing is more important for girls in Africa than education. Since that time, AfricAid has supported thousands of students in Tanzania through scholarships, teacher training and vocational training. Most recently, AfricAid launched The Kisa Project, a girls' scholarship and leadership training initiative that connects girls in Tanzania with their sponsor families and student groups through the kisaproject.org website.
