When I recognized I needed to change my focus today, I unearthed some positive affirmations I formulate years ago to help me through a rough patch, and create a more powerful, positive me. It worked then, and it will work again today.

I'm going to use the affirmations to get me through the rough patch this minute; it I will transform into a pool of positivity in the next few hours. You can do the same thing anytime you want.

To help you, I'm sharing my affirmations, thus using my energy to produce a ripple effect and cause positivity in you and others around the world.

What better way to make a difference!?

You can choose one, two, any, or all of the affirmations below, they are my gift to you today. Pick one that fits and make it your own, or, create some of your own and share them with others.

Here we go!

#1) I am powerful

I am strong and healthy. I am powerful: mentally, emotionally spiritually and physically. I think clearly and rationally and I have everything it takes to make the right decisions about my life, my happiness and my future.

#2) I choose to be happy

I choose to be happy. I am full of love and inner peace. I am calm and intuitive. I live in the present, experiencing every moment to its fullest. I am confident in my ability to succeed.

#3) I observe without judgment

I observe my life and myself without judgment, fascinated by the process and the journey. I am curious. I am excited about life. I practice wonder and joy. I become a better person every day in every way.

#4) I am thankful

I’m positive, hopeful and thankful for all the good things in my life. I love to grow and learn new things. I wake up every day full of anticipation. I really look forward to the experiences each day has to offer. I know that each moment is an opportunity to learn, and I make the most of it. I’m alive, I’m free, and I’m full of energy.

#5) I'm GREAT !

I’m a wonderful person. I’m passionate about what I do. I love to learn. I’m open and honest. I’m smart, sexy and successful. I have a great sense of humour and I’m fun to be with. I love and I am loved. I am respected and valued for who I am – a treasure-seeking adventurer. I shine with a beautiful inner light that touches those around me.

#6) I accept others

I accept others for who they are: different from me and equally beautiful. I celebrate their uniqueness. I know that everyone, including myself, is doing the best they can, all the time. This makes me gentle and forgiving with myself and with others.

#7) I am complete

I create boundaries that are good for my mental and emotional well-being. I am complete. I am calm. I am in control of my own thoughts and emotions. I show up, pay attention, speak my own truth without judgment and embrace the outcome.

#8) I trust the universe

I feel at ease being alone because I know I am connected to everyone and everything else in the universe. I draw on the power of the universe to create the life I want and I trust that my life is unfolding as it should. I believe in synchronicity. I believe everything happens for a reason. I live in the circle.

#9) My life is balanced

I am organised, focused and goal oriented. I concentrate on the right things – the things that move me closer to achieving my divine purpose. I know what I need to do to succeed and I am doing it.  I make the most of my time and I avoid procrastinating. I break my goals down into manageable chunks and get on with the job one step at a time. I am productive and successful. My approach to work pays off.  My life is busy and well balanced between work, play and personal growth.

#10) My destiny is unfolding as it should

I am a global nomad who loves adventure. I am full of love and inner peace.  I listen carefully to the language of the soul of the world.  It guides me to my destiny. I believe things happen for a reason and that my life is unfolding as it should. I am confident in my ability to overcome difficulties, they are just bumps along the road. My future is bright and full of promise.

Bonus affirmation I stole from somewhere else, but don't remember where:

If I come to the edge of all I’ve known and I am about to step into darkness, one of two things will happen.  Either there will be something solid for me to stand on or I will be taught to fly.

Happy affirming!

Yes happiness is a choice. I find being thankful reminds us that we have a lot to be grateful for! Getting into the gratitude habit helps develop a more positive mindset. I journal about gratitude on my blog: www.sharingthanks.blogspot.com! Hope you will stop by and share what you are thankful for today!
