My parents raised us to be color-blind. Our house was filled to over-flowing with so many friends of all different nationallities and backgrounds; it was like a wonderful rainbow of kids and fun! When a parent came to pick up a child, there was no Knowing who's child belonged to who right away because we had wonderful blends in the rainbow. I think it's more difficult for some adults to be color-blind than it is for the children... a child's instinct is to make a friend, it's that simple. I'm glad I've not limited my friendship pool; instead I have the world meet :)
